Fanciful Fabulous Florida
Florida, the Sunshine State, is known for its beautiful beaches, unique entertainment, and gorgeous tropical weather. From the northern tip of Tallahassee to the southern keys of Miami, Florida has a gargantuan range of interesting spots and dives to visit.
Stopping at a beach is basically a requirement for visiting Florida. That being said, you have plenty to choose from.
In the Northwest of Florida, you can find beaches of nearly pure white quartz. The sand is bright white and soft to the touch. The waters of the keys are crystal clear, like a sheet of glass separating us from the creatures of the sea.
Who doesn’t want to take time to relax, swim, and collect pretty shells or shark teeth?
The beaches in Florida are beautiful and numerous. There are beaches that are packed with people and beaches that are desolate. You can find big waves and calm seas. If you enjoy any kind of summertime beach activities, you will enjoy your time on the Florida beaches.
Florida is also home to some of the most famous theme parks in the country. It is almost too good to be true. Disney World, Universal Studios, and even SeaWorld are all located in the same city. Imagine being able to enjoy the wide variety of food from Epcot and then walking down the famous Diagon Alley from Harry Potter on the same day.
Just Disney World alone has so much depth and variety that it would be impossible to see it all in one day. The most amazing part is that Disney is just a small part of what Florida can offer.
But maybe you’re not looking for fun in the sun. Maybe you want a calmer, quieter experience.
Art may not be the first thing people think of when they hear Florida, but it is actually home to some very well-known museums and art pieces.
On the western side of Florida, near Tampa, you can find the Salvador Dali Museum. Inside is full of breathtaking surrealist art, gorgeous paintings, and perplexing architecture.
The museum also contains a cafe, themed bars, and sometimes even live music. All the proceeds go towards the museum’s goal as a non-profit and educational organization.
Florida is a melting pot of diverse cultures. Because of this, Florida has an influx of delectable foods to pick from.
“Florida Oranges” is something everyone is familiar with, but the oranges in Florida really are truly special. They make some of the best orange juice you can find. It would be difficult to find a better drink to start the day.
For lunch, maybe a real Cuban sandwich or even some fried alligator. You won’t be finding alligators in most states, so if you are in the area, it is definitely something to try.
End the day with some delicious Florida stone crab and some key lime pie.
Florida is the perfect fit for those with a wide variety of tastes and will surely pique the interest of those with more adventurous taste buds.
With such a wide and diverse array of locations, foods, and activities to try, Florida can provide entertainment for anyone who seeks it out. It’s a beautiful state with endless beaches, massively famous theme parks, and stunning art museums. You would only be doing yourself a disservice by not going out and adventuring in Florida.
